DUI and GPS Issues in North Carolina

DUI Apps
GPS (global positioning system) devices are used to know the roads
you’ll cross ahead. This aware us of dangers and speed traps that we will encounter on the way. But of course, there are positives and negatives that we must know. The positive matter is that it warns us of dangers to where were going. We can easily avoid traps and red-lights on the way. But some drunk people took advantage of that. They used these devices to see if policemen or checkpoints are on their way and avoids them.

This situation started a conflict between U.S. senators and the Apple,
Google and Research in motion companies. US senators sent letters to these companies to stop any app (application) devices with the ability to
see roads ahead. Sometime later, they stopped selling but Google still sold
these kinds of devices to people which made the app makers argue with
them.

In North Carolina, drunk persons who drive cars or motorcycles are
punished by paying the fines decided by the judge. To avoid checkpoints,
some people park their cars or motorcycles in a distance or make a U-
turn. Police officers are allowed to stop these vehicles, inspect them and
make them reason out why they did not pass through the checkpoints. The
person has to suffer the consequences to be given by the judge.
Check Points

More and more letters are sent to companies to stop this encouragement to
drunk people. But only the Blackberry Company responded.

These things make drunk people realize that drinking is not good for our
health. We need to watch out for all things, good or bad. As what a saying
says: ’’Accept the truth and turn away from lies’’. These people test the
truth by doing what was forbidden. But should we do these things in order
to separate good and bad...
